Sports Wheels question by Craig B: Can I swap 325i sports package tires and wheels for regular?
I have a 2004 BMW 325i wagon with the sports package. The low profile tires keep blowing, so I’m thinking of swapping them out for regular wheels and tires. Are the outer diameters of the two tires the same? Or are there other suspension parts I’ll have to swap out as well?
Different tires in the rotation have blown for different reasons. One caught a nail. Another just blew on the freeway. The others I don’t know. We’re not driving on particularly rough road, and not scraping the curb, and no problems with neighbors :) I just think it’s that the low profile of these tires makes them too vulnerable to any little thing. Are we the only ones having trouble with these tires?

Go to www.tirerack.com, and it will give you tire/wheel packages that will work for your vehicle.

The circumferance of the wheel/tire must always be the same as factory to keep your speedometer accurate. As long as you get smaller wheels with larger height tires, you will fine.
